1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using olgtagakaulomission.org (the "Site"), submitting a form, making a donation, or participating in any mission activity arranged through the Site — including Mission Experience, Lay Partnership and Volunteering, or vocational discernment — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Site or participate in these activities.

These Terms of Use should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Use of This Website

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, this Site by any third party. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functioning

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its forms, or its underlying systems

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on this Site, including giving submissions and proof-of-transaction uploads

• Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Site without our express permission

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Tagakaulo Mission name and identity — is the property of the Mission or is used with appropriate permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. You may share links to this Site and its content for non-commercial purposes, such as inviting others to learn about or support the Mission.

4. User-Submitted Content

When you submit content through this Site — including a prayer intention, a personal story through Stories of Hope, a volunteer inquiry, or any other written submission — you confirm that:

• The content you submit is your own, or you have the right to share it

• You grant the Mission permission to use, and where relevant to publish, your submission in accordance with the choices you make at the time of submission (for example, choosing whether a prayer intention is shared in community prayer or kept confidential, or whether a submitted story may be featured on the Site)

• You understand that content marked for public sharing (such as a story submitted through Stories of Hope) may be edited for length, clarity, or appropriateness before publication.

• You will not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that violates the rights of any other person.

The Mission reserves the right, but has no obligation, to review, edit, or decline to publish any submitted content.

5. Donations and Gifts

Accuracy of Information. By submitting a gift or giving intent through this Site, you confirm that the payment and personal information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method selected.

Use of Funds. Gifts are used to support the ministry or program designated by the donor at the time of giving, or, for undesignated gifts, wherever the Mission determines the need is greatest. The Mission reserves the right to redirect funds if a specific designated purpose becomes unnecessary or impractical, consistent with standard charitable practice and applicable law.

6. Mission Experience, Volunteering, and Assumption of Risk

Age Requirements. Participation in Mission Experience and Lay Partnership & Volunteering programs is generally available to individuals of legal age (18 years or older).

Participants Accompanied by Parents or Guardians. Parents or legal guardians who join a mission visit and bring their own minor children are solely responsible for their children's safety, supervision, and welfare throughout the visit.

Group Visits Involving Minors. Grade school-age or otherwise underage participants wishing to take part in a mission exposure as part of an organized group (such as a school or parish group) must have parental or legal guardian consent secured in advance by the organizing group or institution, not by the Mission. The organizing group is responsible for obtaining and retaining this consent and for supervising minor participants throughout the visit.

Assumption of Risk. Mission Experience and volunteering activities take place in a remote, mountainous environment. They may involve travel over unpaved roads, river crossings, physically demanding conditions, and limited access to medical facilities, as described elsewhere on this Site. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these inherent risks.

Limitation of Liability for Accidents. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Tagakaulo Mission, the Missionaries of Jesus, and their staff, volunteers, and representatives shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during a Mission Experience, volunteer activity, or related visit, except where such harm results from the Mission's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Separate Waiver and Consent Form. In addition to accepting these Terms of Use, every Mission Experience participant must complete a separate written waiver and consent form specific to their visit. This form is emailed to the participant (or, for minors, to their parent or guardian, or to the organizing group responsible for them) once their visit date is confirmed and must be completed and returned by email before the confirmed visit date. Participation in a Mission Experience is contingent on receipt of this completed waiver before arrival.

7. Vocational Discernment

Initial conversations regarding vocational discernment with the Missionaries of Jesus, arranged through this Site, do not constitute an application, admission, or commitment to formation by either party. Formal discernment and formation processes are governed separately by the Missionaries of Jesus' own vocation policies.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

This Site links to or embeds third-party services, including Google Forms, Elfsight Formbuilder, Google Apps and Analytics, and social media platforms such as Facebook. These third parties operate under their own terms of use and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. The Mission is not responsible for the content, functionality, or data practices of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

This Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that all information on this Site — including historical, statistical, or program details — is complete, current, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Tagakaulo Mission shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site, except as otherwise specifically addressed in Section 6 above regarding Mission Experience and volunteering activities.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Our Lady of Guadalupe Tagakaulo Mission, its staff, volunteers, and representatives from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your violation of these Terms of Use or your participation in any mission activity, except where such claim arises from the Mission's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12. Governing Law

The laws of the Republic of the Philippines govern these Terms of Use. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this Site shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Davao Occidental or in Digos City.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
