The Our Lady of Guadalupe Tagakaulo Mission ("the Mission," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits olgtagakaulomission.org or interacts with our ministries, whether as a donor, volunteer, prayer partner, or visitor. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have regarding your own information.

This policy is written to comply with the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. If you are accessing this site from outside the Philippines, please note your information will be processed in the Philippines, where data protection laws may differ from those in your own country.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide directly, including:

• Your name and contact information (email address, phone number) when you submit a prayer intention, volunteer inquiry, mission experience request, giving intent, or newsletter subscription

• The content of your submission itself — a prayer intention, a personal story, a volunteer application, a discernment inquiry

• Financial information, including proof-of-transaction images or documents, when you submit a gift through our giving process

• Any other information you choose to include in an open-text field, message, or attachment

Information collected automatically, including:

• Basic technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and general location, collected through Google Analytics, which we use to understand how visitors use this site and to improve it over time

• Cookies, used in some of the forms on this site (including forms built with Elfsight Formbuilder) to support form functionality and, where applicable, to prevent duplicate submissions

• You can control or turn off cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect the functionality of some forms on this site. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's own browser opt-out tools, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Information from third parties, including:

• Submissions made through embedded or linked third-party services, described fully in Section 5 below, which are subject to those providers' own privacy policies in addition to this one

3. Sensitive Personal Information

Some of the information we collect is classified as "sensitive personal information" under Philippine law, including:

• Religious information — the content of prayer intentions you choose to share

• Financial information — proof of donation transactions

We collect this information only with your knowledge, through your voluntary submission, and we handle it with additional care as described in Section 6 (Data Security) below.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Fulfill the specific purpose for which you submitted it — praying for your intention, processing and confirming your gift, responding to a volunteer or discernment inquiry, sending a newsletter you subscribed to

• Verify and record donations for accounting and receipt purposes

• Communicate with you about your submission, including confirmations and follow-up

• Improve our ministries and communications over time

• Comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Mission staff and volunteers directly involved in fulfilling your request (e.g., processing a gift, following up on a volunteer inquiry)

• Third-party service providers that help us operate this website and its forms:

  • Google Forms — used to collect giving submissions, including proof-of-transaction uploads

  • Elfsight Formbuilder — used to build and operate other forms on this site, such as the prayer request and volunteer inquiry forms.

  • Google Apps (including Google Analytics and related Google Workspace tools) — used for website analytics and internal mission communications and record-keeping

• Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy, and only to the extent necessary to provide their service to us. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies if you have concerns about how they individually handle data.

• The Diocese of Digos and the Missionaries of Jesus, where relevant to the pastoral or institutional oversight of the mission's work

• Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law

We do not share prayer intentions marked "confidential" beyond the mission staff directly responsible for prayer, consistent with what is promised on our Prayer Request page.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access to form submissions on this website is limited to Mission Staff directly responsible for digital communications and the Priests in charge of the mission. Financial proof-of-transaction images and records are further restricted and are accessible only to the Priest in charge and mission accounting staff, as described in Section 7 below.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.

We retain financial proof-of-transaction images and records for five (5) years from the date of submission for accounting, audit, and regulatory compliance purposes, and as proof of the transaction. After this period, these records are deleted. During the retention period, access to these records is limited to the Priest in charge and mission accounting staff, as described in Section 6 above.

All other personal information collected through this website — including prayer intentions, volunteer and Mission Experience inquiries, and Discerning God's Call and Stories of Hope story submissions — is reviewed and purged on a quarterly basis, retained only as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was submitted.

Newsletter subscriptions are handled differently, given their ongoing nature: your email address is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, and is deleted upon unsubscribing. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in any newsletter email, or by contacting us directly.

8. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our online forms.

Age policy for Mission Experience and Volunteering: Participation in Mission Experience and Lay Partnership & Volunteering is generally available to individuals of legal age. Parents who join a mission visit and bring their children with them are responsible for their children's safety and supervision throughout the visit. Grade school-age or minor participants who wish to take part in a mission exposure must have parental or guardian consent secured in advance by their organizing group (such as a school or parish). The mission community does not assume responsibility for accidents or incidents that may occur during a mission exposure involving minors.

Photographs or stories involving minors that may appear elsewhere on this site (for example, students at the IP Schools) are used only with appropriate consent obtained through the mission's own community and family relationships, separate from this website's data collection.

9. Your Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:

• Be informed that your personal information will be collected and processed

• Access your personal information held by us

• Object to the processing of your personal information

• Correct any inaccurate or outdated personal information

• Erasure or blocking of your personal information under certain circumstances

• Data portability, where applicable

• File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated.
